I’m Cody Ground, a commercial film and creative director based in Austin, Texas. As Executive Creative Director at Arts + Labor, I lead teams in visual storytelling, taking ideas from concept to storyboard to production to post. I’ve directed work across tech, higher ed, healthcare, music, and more. I love bringing ideas to life and getting to share that excitement with others. Each project is an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and push ideas further.

I've had work premiere at festivals like SXSW and the LA Film Festival. My commercial work with Arts + Labor has been recognized many times by AAF Austin, including winning Best of Show, Judge's Choice, and multiple district awards. In 2023, our video campaign for the University of Texas earned the CASE Circle of Excellence Gold Award.

Beyond work, I make music videos, short films, and write music. In my past life, I made music with the bands Royal Forest and Loxsly, shoestring-touring the U.S. to release records featured in NPR and Spin, and perform at festivals like SXSW and CMJ.
